Through coaching, mentoring and leadership, Sharon supports individuals to navigate challenges, discover their strengths and create positive, lasting change in both their personal and professional lives. At the heart of her approach is a genuine belief that everyone has the ability to thrive, live a fulfilling life and achieve their aspirations.
As an experienced leader in public service, Sharon has spent many years leading large-scale transformation and service improvement programmes during periods of significant change and uncertainty. From responding to the challenges of austerity to helping organisations adapt during and after the pandemic, she has supported teams to deliver vital services while embracing new ways of working.
Sharon is passionate about creating environments where people feel valued, heard and empowered to succeed. She believes that high-performing teams are built on trust, self-belief, continuous learning and meaningful relationships. Coaching has been a cornerstone of her own leadership journey, helping her create psychologically safe spaces where people can grow, develop and perform at their best.

Background
Sharon's leadership journey began in the leisure industry in Islington, London, after leaving school at the age of 16. Starting on the front line and learning through hands-on experience, she later gained the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISRM) Diploma through employer sponsorship. Over the following ten years, she worked across a variety of leisure centres and swimming pools, developing her leadership skills and passion for helping people achieve their goals.
In 2003, following the birth of her children, Sharon joined Essex County Council as a receptionist and began a second career in public service. Through hard work, determination and a commitment to continuous learning, she progressed through a range of roles and now leads a team of more than 500 colleagues providing support services across the organisation.
With extensive experience in customer service, operational management, people leadership, strategic planning and organisational transformation, Sharon understands both the opportunities and challenges that come with leadership. She is particularly passionate about helping others balance successful careers with fulfilling personal lives and family commitments.
